The Brief:
Brief from Uni (Design for Production): Choose a work of classical fiction & create a fresh look for the publication along with three complimentary ephemera concepts.
Where I’ve Worked My Magic:
This is my example of choice when it comes to publication design, I’m pretty chuffed with the outcome of this particular assignment from uni. A two-toned minimalist approach was taken for the entirety of this outcome.
Fun fact: the lovely gentleman on the front side of this dust jacket is my Nonno!
The Result:
The end product consisted of a hardcover design, limited edition dust jacket, postage stamps and a bookmark made of buttons. All four outcomes were designed for print production and included relevant aspects like paper size, bleed, margins, color output. and printer's marks within the final package.

Dust jacket for publication.

Adhesive diecut postage stamps (related to story).

Hardcover design (front) w/ debossed typography.

Bookmark - diecut and consisting of button silhouettes.

Dust jacket and book cover flatlay.

Close-up on rear side of dust jacket.
